William Shakespeare has written eleven tragedies. Antony and Cleopatra

- Coriolanus
Samuel West and Susannah York play Coriolanus and his mother in this excellent BBC Audio production. You may download Coriolanus from this site.
Hamlet
Hamlet, one of his most famous tragedies, is avalable in three different recordings: The BBC Audio Hamlet with Michael Sheen, Kenneth Cranham and Juliet Stevenson. The audiobook by Naxos with a different Hamlet recording and finally the short recording with David Ian Davies from One Voice Recording with extracts from Hamlet. - Julius Caesar
Harper Collins offers a recording of Julius Caesar. In Julius Caesar, there are no heroes, only heroic words spoken by men of ambition, arrogance, and jealousy. Yet Julius Caesar is also one of Shakespeare's most popular and polished works.
King Lear
This Shakespeare Tragedy is also availalbel in a version by BBC Aduiobooks (Colin Redgrave stars as Lear with Geraldine James as Goneril): King Lear and in an other recording by Naxos: King Lear. You may listen to a short voice sample of each recording to make your choice.
- Macbeth
Macbeth is among the most powerful of Shakespeare's tragedies. Not astonishing that we have three different audios ready for you: BBC Audio Books: Macbeth, with an introduction by Richard Eyre, former Director of the Royal National Theatre. The version by Naxos: Macbeth and the one by Harper Collins: Macbeth In the title character and his wife and accomplice, Lady Macbeth, Shakespeare conceived as complex and eloquent a pair of villains as have ever been created in the English language.
- Othello
Othello, dating from 1602-1604, is the second in Shakespeare's great sequence of these four tragedies: Hamlet, King Lear and Macbeth.
Romeo and Juliet
